Not only is pole dancing great fun it is also an incredible form of exercise that helps to increase fitness, flexibility, strength and endurance without becoming boring or repetitive. To quote one magazine, ‘the clothes don’t come off, but the inches - and inhibitions - do!’ Flare.
Pole Fitness originates not from exotic dancing but from Chinese Pole performance which is more often than not performed by men. It involves massive amounts of strength, determination and agility to master and when combined with dance creates a fluid, sensual performance which has been taken advantage of by many exotic dance clubs around the world. An example of Chinese Pole Performance can be found HERE!
One big thing to note is that there is NO NUDITY at all during any of our classes although there is an option to include lap dancing in the Pole and Home Parties; you can practice taking your clothes off when you get home!
What is Pole Fitness?
Pole Fitness classes are very similar to the courses that are run by other concerns in the UK but the fitness classes are run and paid for on a weekly basis and can be continued as long as the student likes. They are based more on fitness but the same moves are learnt as in many of the courses. Pole dancing is an amazing way to keep fit and it tones your body in ways other fitness routines can't so it is well worth keeping up for longer than the few weeks it takes to complete a course. In fact, many of our students have gone on to purchase poles through Pole Play and Vertical Leisure so that they can continue to practice throughout the week between each class!
Who is it for?
The pole dancing classes are attended by a wide variety of students. The age range in our current classes is from 16 to 70 with the average student being in her mid to late 20’s. They come from all walks of life including professionals, students, mothers and new mothers, they all want to workout in a supportive environment which aims to increase their confidence as well as keeping them fit and spicing up their relationships. Anyone is welcome to join in the courses, big or small it makes no difference and as I've learnt from experience in the industry attraction and sexiness are not based on looks alone.
We teach both women and men so please ask if you are a guy and keen to join a class. As classes are run on a weekly basis, group size can vary although we set a maximum of 12 per class in our larger venues and 10 in the smaller ones. The average group size is around 8 students. Our drop-in classes are very popular and we allow up to 20 to take part in these. We can take much larger groups in our Pole Parties. As a previous student I understand the importance of one-on-one tuition and the school also offers individual lesson to perfect your new found skills.
