A.Candidates may participate if they meet the following criteria:
1.Women only (men please contact me to show interest for future events)
2.Minimum age of 18 years
3.Available for the grand final on Saturday 14th October 2006
B.All participants must agree to the following:
1.Bring a suitable outfit to the competition including suitable shoes and accessories
2.Conduct herself properly at all times whilst involved in the competition
3.To cooperate and comply at all times with the rules and regulations of the Pole Play and their representatives
4.To allow and permit Pole Play to use or take her photographs for purpose of publicity and promotions
5.Must not be under the influence of drugs at any time
C. Participation in the Pole Divas Competition requires receipt of the registration form and close adherence to the remaining conditions outlined below:
1.The registration form must be completed in full in accordance with these rules, dated and signed
2.A copy of a valid identification which must be presented on the day of the competition
3.One recent passport size photo if competing in the final
4.Candidate declares that she has no contracts or obligations with other organisations or persons related to pole dancing or of a similar nature that may conflict with the event
5.Candidates must not advertise for their own personal gain or represent any other company, without prior written permission from Pole Play
D.The Organiser undertakes that each participant:
1.Will be met at the venue when she arrives
2.Will be provided with suitable soft beverages during the competition, if required
E.The Pole Divas Winners & Runners up:
1.Winners may be required to appear on television, radio, film or print media for the publicity and promotion requirements of the competition
2.Will be able to participate as a candidate in any other pole dance competition as we believe it is unfair to restrict people passionate about the art of Pole Dancing.
F.Stipulations on film and photography:
1.The candidates have no right to compensation for photography and other footage made before, during and after the Pole Divas competition
2.The candidate explicitly and irrevocably agrees that all footage and photography can be used by Pole Play for promotional, advertising and commercial purposes
G.Grounds for disqualification:
1.Any other information you supplied in connection with the competition, prove to be false and or inaccurate.
H.Regarding Pole Dancing:
1.Amateurs and professionals are welcome to apply and we do not restrict a candidate for minimum experience
2.The candidate may choose the music for her show
3.A pole dance show has a maximum duration of 6 minutes
4.During the show the candidate may not converse with the audience
5.Nudity is strictly prohibited
6.Conscious removal of clothing or any form of striptease is strictly prohibited
I.Regarding the preliminary rounds and the finals of the UK competition:
1.Candidates who are placed 1st & 2nd from each heat will be invited to dance at the final
J.GRAND FINAL 14th October 2006
1.Candidates will be judged on the basis of performance, personality, choreography, transition, pole tricks, fluidity, strength, flexibility and uniqueness
2. Candidates may not communicate with judges regarding the competition itself, before or
during the competition
3. The judges’ decision is final
4. Pole Play reserves the right to expel a candidate from participation, both before and during the competition
5. The finalists must be available for a photo shoot
K.You will be responsible for all your belongings whilst at the competition
M.Regarding the Organisation:
1. Pole Play and its representatives are not liable for injury or damage resulting from
participation in the Pole Divas Competition
2. All decisions not addressed in these regulations will be made by the Organisation
