The Polekittens have reached the Quarter Finals! They take place from Monday 24th March until Thursday 27th March but we have no date confirmed for our appearance yet. Please follow the link below and support us. Thank you! 10/03/08 TV Show (Upstaged) The Pole Play instructors have all banded together to take part in a new TV show called Upstaged on BBC 3 which is brought to you by the makers of Big Brother. We will be in the box from 3.15pm today until 9.15pm and must last 4 days in the box in order to move up to the Quarter Finals! We need you votes so please follow the link below and support us. You can vote every 3 minutes during that time so get those fingers clicking and support your pole school! 01/02/08 Class Suspended The Huddersfield classes are on hold for a couple of months due to problems with the venue howvere they WILL be up and running again shortly so please still contact us if youa re interested in joining the classes once they restart. 12/09/07 Launch Night! The Leeds class launch night will be on Tuesday 25th September starting at 7.30pm and the best thing...? It's FREE! Anyone is welcome to come along but due to people's misconceptions any men who turn up MUST take part in the class. Women may come along and spectate if they wish but we'd advise you to take part as it is easier than it looks! 01/09/07 New Instructors! To conincide with the new venues we have welcomed on board 2 new instructors to help us out with the additional workload. SJ (Sarah-Jayne) will be taking classes in both Wakefield and Huddersfield while Kristy will be taking the Leeds and Harrogate Classes. We hope to have a new instructor to cover additional classes in Bristol in the next few weeks. I hope we'll all be working together for a good while! 01/09/07 New Venues! We are now working in conjunction with Wildcats clubs in several new venues around the UK so check out our venues pages for more information. The new locations are; Blackpool, Barnsley, Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Harrogate as well as a second venue in Bristol! We are still running other classes in our regular venues including dance studios, fitness suites and nightclubs so just ask for information on any of our venues. 04/06/07 Competition The Grand Final of the Pole Divas Competition was held at Pure in Manchester on Sunday 3rd June and the winners were Sally-anne Giles in the Professional Level and Gwyn Griffiths in the Amateur Level. Congratulations! Details will be posted onto www.poledivascompetition.com by the end of July so please check out the website for proposed changes for next year’s competition at the start of August however details of the winner and the general competition can also be found on the Competitions page of this website. 19/04/07 Competition The South West heat of the Pole Divas Competition is being held on Sunday 29th April at Panache in Bristol so please come along and show us your support. There will be entertainment other than the pole dancing and the bar will be open throughout. 19/04/07 New Venue! Classes in Lincoln have become so successful we have had to find a second venue! Because of the success we are beginning a new Sunday class as of 2nd April and weekly drop-in classes every Saturday at 4.30pm at So:Luxe Bar. 20/09/06 New Venue! We will begin classes in Lincoln at the end of January! The new venue is So:Luxe on Brayford Wharf in the heart of the city centre and we will also be able to cater for Pole Parties and have already linked up with local businesses to provide day or weekend packages for those travelling long distances. Please check out the new Lincoln venue page for more details on the weekly classes. 20/09/06 Misc We have 4 new instructors starting with us in October! Felix, Ellie J  and Jo in the north and Sinead in Bristol. Please give them a good welcome with their first few lessons and be don't be too hard on them! 20/09/06 Competition It has now been confirmed that there will be 3 entry levels into the competition this year; Ultimate Beginners, Student Level and Professional Level. Competition rules, awards, judges and all other information will be posted on the COMPETITION page of the Pole Play site. In the meantime please contact us on enquiries@poledivascompetition.com for more details. 20/09/06 Venue Change Unfortunately we are having to switch venues in Scunthorpe from The Figure Factory on Wednesdays to The Queensway. The class times are also changing with the addition of a Stage 2 class so please see the venue page for details. 19/09/06 Venue Change We are moving the Bristol classes from Manhattan on St Nicholas Street to Topnotch Fitness on All Saints Street around the corner. The new studio is much more suited to the fitness classes and also include free use of the sauna and shower facilities, what more could a girl ask for?! 04/09/06 Event Pole Play are taking part in the Guiness World Record attempt on Sunday 10th September at 2pm. If you are interested in taking part and have your own pole please contact us. We will be running it at The Vault in Grimsby with a rehearsal before th final event. Rules can be found on the Vertical Dance website. 04/09/06 Competition Pole Divas has finally been confirmed and is to be held at The Queensway in Scunthorpe with heats on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th October and the Grand Final on Saturday 14th October. More details will be on the site as they are lovingly created! 04/09/06 Venue Change The Grimsby classes are switching venues from the WMCC to The Vault in the town centre. The new venue is more suited to the classes with greater privacy, changing rooms, fixed poles and a great design including mirrored walls. Yeah, I know you hate them but they're good for your self-esteem and skill, honest! 19/08/06 Competition The Pole Divas pole dancing competition is coming soon to North Lincolnshire. This will be the launch of a new competition for the north of England and if successful we hope to increase it's size and scope in 2007! Keep an eye on the site for more details.
